Showing until January 31, 2026, for Archive of Identities, A Shared Conversation of Cultural Identity is "Our Tea Time" (2025).
These collaborative pieces are created by artists Angela Weddle and Deborah A. Moore Harris

Artist Statement: These pieces are a collaboration between two women who enjoyed special moments with their grandmothers. All loved Lipton tea in their special teacups, sweetened with sugar and a slice of fresh lemon for the zing. The words and pictures quilted into the fabrics reflect the images, thoughts, and words shared between the grandmothers and their granddaughters. Each piece, though similar, are reflections of each artist.

Materials and Techniques:
Angela Weddle - designed and created each teacup on 140 lb. watercolor paper using pen and ink, watercolor, acrylic marker, Neocolor II crayon, and gouache within each image.
Deborah A. Moore Harris - hand dyed the muslin with Lipton Tea, used tea bags, cotton batting, cotton fabric, polyester threads, free-motion quilting, and embellished with teabag tags.
